This policy explains how Wila Consultancy Limited (RC 1732228), of Lagos, Nigeria, handles personal data. We are the data controller for the information described here.

We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and the regulations and guidance issued under it by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you submit an aviation requirement or contact us, you choose what to send. Typically that is your name, your organisation, your email address, your phone number, the type of requirement, and the details you write about it.

Our forms do not transmit anything to us on their own. They open a pre-filled message in your own email application, and nothing reaches us until you press send there. Until that moment, what you typed stays on your device.

Information collected automatically

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, timestamps, requested pages and browser user-agent strings. These are used to serve the site and keep it secure.

Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser makes a request to Google to fetch them, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. If you would rather avoid it, most browsers and extensions can block external font loading; the site remains readable without them.

Why we use it, and on what basis

• To respond to you. Where you contact us about an aviation requirement, we process your data to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and on the basis of your consent.
• To provide our services. Where we are engaged, to perform our contract with you.
• To run and secure this website. On the basis of our legitimate interests in operating a functioning, secure site.
• To meet legal and regulatory obligations that apply to us in Nigeria.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only where it is necessary, and only with:

• our hosting and infrastructure providers, who process data on our instructions;
• professional advisers, where we are obliged or entitled to consult them;
• regulators, law enforcement or courts, where the law requires it.

Where we introduce a qualified requirement to a third-party financing relationship, aviation partner or operator, we tell you first and share only what is needed for that introduction.

Transfers outside Nigeria

Some of our providers store data outside Nigeria. Where personal data is transferred abroad, we take the steps required by the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 to ensure it remains adequately protected.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and any relationship that follows, and afterwards only for as long as we must for legal, tax or regulatory reasons. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or render it anonymous.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you may ask us to:

• confirm whether we hold personal data about you, and give you a copy;
• correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
• delete data we no longer have grounds to keep;
• restrict how we use it, or object to our using it;
• provide it in a portable, machine-readable form;
• withdraw a consent you previously gave, at any time, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to theNigeria Data Protection Commission.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. This site is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, and we ask that you do not send us sensitive personal or financial details by email.

Children

Our services are directed at businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
